The first thought.  The inkling of an idea.  The random notion.  The moment you plant the seed.  The exact space in time you decide to become the person you are meant to be is hard to define, almost impossible to pin down.  It could be so small that you don’t even notice it, that moment.  You go about your day, la la la, not a thing different.  Except that moment has happened, whether you realize it or not, so nothing in your world will ever be exactly the same because now your little seed will get some nurturing and some light and show itself to you when the time is right.  I know for a fact that it’s happened for some of you, because you have written me as such.  I’m overjoyed for you, thrilled.  On the other hand, for some of us the moment is earth-shattering, not small at all.  No need to nurture it, the thing is here and in your face and your path is well lit and wide open.  That too is glorious, but personally I don’t think one is more fortunate that the other, as long as the moment comes.  As long as you see the moment when it presents itself.  Many times your moment is in front of you, but you’re scared, so you look the other way.  Way too scary.  “Then I would have to change everything.”  No thanks!  If you’ve seen “Elena Undone” you have in a way witnessed my moment.  For those of you who may not know, that film is based on my story (Elena here) and my event was meeting a lesbian named Nicole Conn, otherwise known as Peyton.  Even though Nicole is small and kind, falling in love with her was very big and very scary, and yes, in fact, I did have to change everything.  Nothing about it was easy.  But here’s the good news – it was worth it.  Looking at my moment square in the eye and making the choice to grab it was one of the best things I’ve ever done in my life.  Allowing myself to find and accept love, in whatever package it came in, was the first step in an evolution I’m only now beginning to understand.  And then there came another moment, and I grabbed that one too…

I am so happy and proud to introduce you to the brand new Soul Kiss Films website! I believe it truly represents who we are as a company, and thank both Rachelle and Curtie from the bottom of my heart for bringing it to life in a way that has exceeded all expectations.
There’s a bit of pressure sitting here trying to come up with a great first blog, but the truth is I simply want to welcome you and invite you to spend some time getting to know us. I’m still relatively unclear on exactly how a blog lives in the universe, so hopefully you’ll have patience while I get the hang of it and accept this first entry for what it is – “glad you’re here, check us out, we’re pretty groovy”. The good news is that many members of the Soul Kiss family will be contributing – Nicole, Fontessa and Curtie to name a few, with perhaps some special guests tossed in to keep it interesting, which I suppose is the ultimate goal – to keep you coming back!
That being said, and with great excitement I say…
